Zen Shiatsu is one of the oldest, most beneficial & complete systems of health & fitness.
Shi (finger) atsu (pressure) massage is a gentle yet effective oriental medicine based bodywork for health & relaxation.
Based on traditional oriental medicine over 5,000 years old which explains the human body has an orderly network of pathways called meridians through which "Ki" or life-force flows.
Shiatsu creates harmony and balance by strengthening/tonifying areas of weakness and dispersing areas of tension, pain & congestion.
Balancing the polarity of "gentle reflectiveness", the ability to gracefully unfold with the content, responsive, contemplative qualities of a gentle stream - with "dynamic responsiveness" the power to activate, move & transform.
Shiatsu encouages the smooth flow of "Ki" energy
to enhance the harmonious co-operation of all the elements necessary for a peaceful, balanced & fulfilling existance.
The Shiatsu College Aotearoa is the oldest well established (over 30 years) Shiatsu School in New Zealand.
Most classes are held as residential classes to enable students from all regions to attend . Please enquire about classes in your area.

Shiatsu Clinics
Experience a wonderful relaxing Zen Shiatsu treatment at one of our Shiatsu Clinics in Auckland and Tauranga. This is a gentle style of Shiatsu using a futon mat on the floor with patient fully clothed. We recommend wearing loose comfortable clothing.
